The first official trailer for the Doctor Who Christmas special has been released today (November 9). The trailer shows Peter Capaldi as the Doctor coming face to face with a sinister evil, and the episode will feature an appearance from a jolly Santa Claus. Capaldi will be joined by his faithful companion Clara (Jenna Coleman) in the special episode, and guest stars for the episode includes Nick Frost (Hot Fuzz), Natalie Gumede (Coronation Street), Nathan McMullen (Misfits), Michael Troughton (Minder), and Faye Marsay (Fresh Meat). The Doctor Who special will air on BBC One over the Christmas period.
