Canadian director Bruce McDonald returns to horror with this new trailer for Hellions. His previous effort, Pontypool (2008), in which a burnt out radio host must contend with the apocalypse from his studio, was a master class in low-budget scares and has developed a cult following. McDonald’s latest looks set to provide more tense thrills and social commentary.
The film stars Chloe Rose (Degrassi: The Next Generation) as Dora, a seventeen year old who receives the unexpected news that she’s pregnant on Halloween. Home alone she is terrorized by a band of masked children, seemingly intent on claiming her unborn child as her own.
Co-starring Robert Patrick (Terminator 2: Judgement Day) as a mysterious grizzled stranger who seems to know more about the situation, Hellions looks like another late night frightfest. Hellions is produced by Storyteller Pictures and Whizbang Films, and will be out in the UK later this year. Check out the trailer below.
