Reading Festival goers could struggle with their travel to the event as the First Great Western Workers have just announced a three day strike over the bank holiday weekend when the festival is. The company are the main operators of trains from Reading train station and the planned walk out could cause many fans problems. General Secretary of the RMT union Mick Cash said “despite strenuous efforts by our negotiators we have not been able to secure the kind of progress required in the key areas of jobs, services and safety for us to reach an agreement”. Reading Festival organisers are yet comment on the news which could highly affect the attendance of the festival, or offer another form of transport.
