Afropop rising star Adenikè is on track with her brand new EP Adenike (Deluxe), featuring five amazing tracks.
Adenikè’s newest EP comes on the back of recent support from the likes of Flaunt Magazine, Earmilk, MTV Base, KISS FM, BBC Radio London, Apple Music and Audiomack in the past 12 months. She also recently surpassing half a million streams on Spotify, led by last summer’s breakaway single “Tonight” and her mini EP.
The Adenike Deluxe EP was written by Adenikè herself and executive produced by Nii Saul also known as Fli5Star, who has previously worked with J Hus, NSG, Afro B and Kida Kudz. The EP also comes with production from the likes of German hitmaker Brasco and Finland-based Ghanaian beatsmith BarnnyBeatz.
Thematically, the brand new EP is filled to the core with love, trust as well as good and bad choices that we make in our relationships. The project opens with “Enough“, where Adenikè stands up against toxic relationships and demands better for women.
Meanwhile her third song “Sweet Love” is an ode to being head over heels in love with someone and “Ready” exhibits Adenikè and guest artist AdeJosh‘s chemistry on the bold afroswing-esque melody.
The 5-track list is full of warmly sweet tunes and resounding R&B and afrobeats sensibilities. The soundscapes captivate the listener from the very first seconds with Adenikè’s enthralling vocals and relatable songwriting. Its lush melodies with opulent drums, splendid synths and infectious basslines represent 10 minutes of pure sonic pleasure.
