Ivorian Doll’s sound is related to a mix of rough hip-hop and trap elements – indicated as drill. The Germany-born, London-based rapper and influencer becomes more and more successful. In April she released “Rumours” and achieved over 6 Million streams.
On YouTube, she has almost reached 100K subscribers. Furthermore she was featured on official remix of S1MBA’s gold-certified single “Rover”, which went to #3 in the UK Charts. At Wireless Connect Festival, she delivered an outstanding performance and received enthusiastic reviews.
The newest track of the Queen of Drill is an explosive song, underpinned by a cold drill beat, produced by NV. “When I first heard what Ivorian Doll had done on ‘Body Bag’ I was gobsmacked by the delivery and conviction she brought to the track, making the beat itself sound 10x better” he says about the collaboration.
Moreover the Barbie-themed music video of “Body Bag” went straight into UK’s YouTube Trends. The hard-hitting rap track with uncompromising lyrics reminds on other female artist like Nicki Minaj who had to prevail in the male-dominated rap world.
