Star Wars: The Force Awakens has welcomed another generation to the sci-fi epic, and now the DVD and Blu-Ray have come out. However, if you’re expecting to see the documentary and deleted scenes on the DVD release, you will be bitterly disappointed. UK fans are annoyed that such features are exclusive only to Blu-Ray versions of JJ Abrams’ blockbuster hit.
A fan told The Mirror: “I was really looking forward to this: I don’t have a Blu-ray player, so was intending to use the digital download key provided to get the movie online. But [there is] no digital download with the UK version: the US version has this. Completely unacceptable and I can’t think of a better way of driving people who WANT to buy a legitimate version to piracy sites. Idiots”.
Other fans have commented that it’s a “rip-off” and that the DVD release was a “misrepresentation” on Amazon.
