Pop Band XY&O have unfolded the new track “Marigold”.
Gathering more than ten million of streams, with songs featured on noticeable Netflix shows and appearing in the unforgettable game franchise Sims, meet the mysterious UK pop band XY&O.
Since their debut single “Low Tide“, the group has never disappointed, making addictive the international audience to the dreamy haze-pop sounds which led to huge positive critical acclaim.
The beloved EP Shimmer + Shade acquired a huge popularity among online platform users allowing the band to perform, as one of their first live, on the stage of the Glastonbury Festival.
Leading by the Welsh singer-songwriter Skip Curtis, XY&O had toured around UK in 2019 before being silent in the attempt to dedicate the time to the band debut album planned to be realised in 2022.
The band shared their feelings as “Being in a band is difficult. Touring is difficult. I didn’t like the path that XY&O was heading down after Glastonbury. I felt like I wasn’t in control and that bothered me, so I stepped back and didn’t commit”.
After working on other project and following the exit of bandmates Nick Kelly and Tudor Davies, Skip focused again on XY&O.
In 2020, the band leader started to work on the track “The Daze We Spent Together” fighting against the endless lockdown and epidemic situation to create a 12-track album ready for 2022.
The album will arrives seven years after the band debut, not like the usual, but the band is not here to act like everyone.
Speaking about the song “Marigold”, the band states a simple sentence, “When you can’t find the words, sometimes the simplest gesture says everything”.
