Renowned Manchester grime and rap star Bugzy Malone has launched his one of a kind trainers, the Skeleton-X1. Inspired by a scorpion, the design is sleek monochrome with jacquard knit and a tonal protective front shield for support. The pair of sneakers starts at £110 and can be found in selected JD stores across the UK.
The trainers have high prospects for the street fashion market. The design includes subtle scorpion features including a sting abdomen and claws. The shoe rests upon a 5-piece chunky sole for great comfort and is finished with the iconic brand tapping on the tongue and sidewalls.
The fresh new silhouette will bring stealthy vibes to your wardrobe and it comes in a smooth black colourway with contrasting white patterning. It offers unrivalled comfort thanks to the breathable upper, with synthetic overlays for added durability and a rubber tread to ensure nothing can break your stride.
Upon the second release from his brand B. Malone with JD Sports, Bugzy invited 30 lucky fans to celebrate his new Skeleton X1 with a concert at the Arndale Centre JD Store. He performed some of his most iconic tracks, including “M.E.N”, “Body”, “War Mode”, and “Beauty And The Beast”.
Speaking on the launch, Bugzy stated, “We’ve been working on the Skeleton X1 since the launch of Scorpion in 2019. The design journey took a different route – the B Malone team ran with my idea. It was the refining process that took the time as we stripped back the shoe. I’ve been training in it for the last four months – to make sure it can go from the gym to the street“.
The launch event closely followed his latest performance at the AO Arena in Manchester, and DJ Specs Gonzales accompanied Bugzy for a quickfire Q&A at the event, in which he shared about his post-music life and his plans for retirement from his career following his final UK tour.
