Michelle Obama is set to appear in the season finale of Emmy nominated comedy show Parks and Recreation. She is set to feature in the episode titled “Moving Up”, it will focus on her campaign to raise awareness and deal with child obesity. The NBC show follows civil servant Leslie Knope (Amy Poehler) who works in the ‘Parks and Recreation’ government department in Pawnee, Indiana.
Mrs Obama has previously worked with artist Beyonce to tackle the issue of child obesity, which resulted in the re-release of her song “Move your Body”. Speaking of politicians appearing on Parks and Recreation, John McCain and Joe Bidden have both made appearances in previous episodes of the show which is executive produced by Greg Daniels and Michael Schur. The Parks and Recreation series finale featuring Michelle Obama is set to air on April 4 on NBC.
