Bikini Bottom is taking on the fashion world! Well, not quite. In a move that will be welcomed by trendsetters and fans alike, Vans are collaborating with Nickelodeon on a new footwear, apparel and accessories range with the lovable, family-favorite cartoon SpongeBob Squarepants having a starring role.
The Bikini Bottom crew will feature on the California-based sneaker brand’s classic Vault by Vans silhouettes, with characters present across Sk8-Hi, Authentic and Slip-On models featuring all-over prints and re-vamped checkerboard patterns, custom tongue tags and branded insoles.
Patrick and SpongeBob are featured mostly across the uppers while Plankton can be found carelessly smooshed on the bottom outsole for comic effect. Apparel-wise, short sleeve tees and embroidered long sleeves in bright yellow colors give the capsule ease-of-wear. Lastly, a small run of skate decks tie everything back to the skateboarding lifestyle.
The SpongeBob Squarepants x Vault by Vans collection will retail from $45 to $260 USD across all of its products and launch globally on February 24.
