Watch First Trailer For ‘Cinderella’ Starring Cate Blanchett And Lily James | Film Trailer
Shakespearean actor Kenneth Branagh has directed a new version of the Disney classic, Cinderella, which is set for release in March 2015. What makes this take on the fairy tale so unique then? Well according to the trailer, it’s quite orthodox in terms of keeping things faithful to the original story line; we wouldn’t want to ruin the quintessential idea of romance now would we? The appealing aspect of the movie has to be Blanchett’s role as Cinderella’s evil stepmother. She must have taken on the role from a ‘real actors’ point of view, considering her dominance over the art form.
Blanchett has shown her remarkable talent, by playing a transgender role in order to be Bob Dylan in the film I’m Not There, along with her dynamically powerful role as Queen Elizabeth I, in Elizabeth: The Golden Age. If it’s not for her majestic acting qualities, why else should you see it? In addition, it stars the wonderfully cool Helena Bonham Carter as the Fairy Godmother, there’s something that will put some spice into your pumpkin, and of course Cinderella herself who is played by, Lily James.
