R. L. Stein’s Goosebumps books have been vastly popular amongst children and young teens alike ever since their initial creation in 1992, and became even more so with the global phenomenon that was the Goosebumps television series, that first aired in 1995. And so the inevitable has finally happened, and quite late in the grand scheme of things – A movie.
Directed by Rob Letterman, Goosebumps will star Jack Black as a reclusive version of R. L. Stein himself, who lives with his daughter Hannah (played by Odeya Rush). Upon the arrival of their new neighbours, including Zach (played by Dylan Minnette), a boy of Hannah’s age, one of the original Goosebumps manuscripts is opened and suddenly all of the weird and wonderful creatures from the creepy book series are unleashed upon the world. They must then of course attempt to get these creatures all back into their books before they cause too much damage to the town that they inhabit. Goosebumps UK release is set for the 6th of February next year. You can watch the trailer below.
