WGN America has recently acquired the Canadian television crime series entitled Bellevue. This series sees the New Zealand actress Anna Paquin, known for her role as Sookie Stackhouse in True Blood, starring alongside Shawn Doyle and Allen Leech.
The plot is set in the little community of Bellevue which hides big secrets. Twenty years ago, this community was traumatized after the murder of a young woman, but now the killer is back and Anni Ryder (Anna Paquin) has to investigate after the disappearance of a hight school hockey star. In resolving this case, the detective will see all her professional and private life overwhelm.
This crime series created by Jane Maggs and Adrienne Mitchell is composed by eight episodes lasting one hour each and will debut on January 23, 2018 some days after its first debut in the Canadian channel CBC.
