Introducing New York rapper and producer WhoIsAriel with his latest mixtape titled Not 4 Nothing! Originally released last autumn, but making a huge resurgence this month, the 10-track project is WhoIsAriel’s biggest and best-received project of his career, with early acclaim coming from the likes of Respect Magazine and AllUnsigned, among others.
All ten tracks on the record were produced by WhoIsAriel, and are led by his lyrical prowess and songwriting abilities, mixed with melodic harmonies that will have you hooked from start to finish. The production on the record is underpinned by live trumpet instrumentation, piano arrangements and boombap drum patterns, to mention a few, to make for an exciting listening experience.
Born in Queens, New York, and raised in Elmont (NY), WhoIsAriel first burst onto the scene in 2015 with his debut project The Golden Tape, before following that up with 2017’s Zoose, and now Not 4 Nothing, which is set to keep him in the limelight for 2019.
The project is led by its first track and lead single “Sacrifice” which perfectly embodies WhoIsAriel and the rest of the project. Over the next nine tracks on the mixtape, the rapper and producer excellently showcases his varied flows and musical backdrop. From trademark East Coast rap, to ominous Trap music, to Neo-Soul, WhoIsAriel makes sure there is something for everyone on this record.
