“Streets Of Paris” is a sunny little number from Will Joseph Cook, a quite young singer (soon to be turning 18), whose songs mostly expose a recurring gift with the craft. Lyrically I’d say his track “July” (sounds a bit like Jack Johnson) is better than “Streets Of Paris”, but it is what it is, a poppy song. The track references a range of artists vocally and melodically. For example, the chorus throws in a fairly strong reference to The Strokes. This track alone hasn’t convinced me of Will Joseph Cook’s promise, but if you have a surf round the net, you’ll see there’s bag loads of potential in this guy, which further development will only improve upon. Keep your eyes peeled. You can check out “Streets of Paris” here.
