The new single from WOMPS, titled “Manners”, has the Glaswegian duo playing some rip roaring rock and roll. It will appear on the band’s forthcoming debut album, Our Fertile Forever, recorded by legendary producer Steve Albini at his Electric Audio studio in Chicago. It is due out Friday, June 10 via Displaced Records and The Orchard.
“Manners” is a driving number that combines indie rock guitar scratchings with some epic, classic rock ringing chords. Bar the indie elements it might remind one of, perhaps, early Van Halen. Very exciting to listen to, indeed. It is a powerhouse performance from all concerned, intense guitar and drums with some really crunchy bass.
