ZAYN unveils the music video for his latest single from his very much smash debut solo album, Mind Of Mine, “Like I Would”. The single follows “Pillowtalk”, “It’s You” and “Befour”.
His vocals almost ring out acapella, with only a faint ethereal sound behind them. Big, clapping drums introduce the song proper, synthesised bass propelling the track forward. A middle section of sorts come before the fadeout, helping the vocals breathe isolated.
Shot by Director X, who has done work for Kanye West, Drake and Rihanna, it features a very Tron style theme. The spirit of the Eighties smash science fiction film is very much invoked in these visuals, with lights illuminating black suit bodies.
