Zayn Malik has not had the best of times over the last couple of years… Or even in the last couple of months! After his shock departure from the world’s most popular and successful bands of our generation, One Direction, he has faced criticism, failed relationships and struggled to keep himself in the straight and narrow after he was shown taking drug-like substances whilst on tour last year.
Just recently his ace has graced the tabloids once again as he has reportedly tried to evict Perrie Edward’s mom from his London apartment. The Little Mix singer had not left on good terms with the two singers only being together for a few months. Finally, however, there is some good news for Zayn as his album has knocked Adele’s 25 of the top spot in the UK Charts.
Selling 4,000 more copies than his nearest competitor, Zayn’s new album Mind Of Mine was proceeded by the number 1 lead single “Pillowtalk” which has been linked strongly to his Perrie Edwards relationship. Zayn described his success as “mind-blowing” and admitted to the Official Charts Company; “my life at 23 could have turned out very differently“.
Let’s hope his troubled past is behind him as he has already offered his Bradford FC Box to give deprived fans an opportunity to watch his home town team.
