Zion.T is back and has hit the Korean music scene in full force with yet another incredible album, packed with witty lyrics and a trippy new music video. The album, OO, is made up of eight tracks (including an instrumental version of a song) and boasts featurings from Korean music and fashion icon, G-Dragon, and everyone’s favorite K-Hiphop rapper, Beenzino.
The title track, amusingly enough titled “The Song”, gets listeners bobbing their heads and snapping their fingers along to the lively and addicting piano melody. Zion.T sings, “I hope this song doesn’t get famous,” but ironically also admits he hopes, “this song won’t be forgotten quickly like other famous songs“.
The eccentric props, bright neon colors of the set and the flashy styling all come together into a quirky music video that match the bright pace of “The Song”.
This album is Zion.T’s first official release from his new company, YG Entertainment’s sub-label, The Black Label. The sub-label, which is managed by YG Entertainment producers Teddy and Kush, signed the R&B singer following the end of his contract with hip hop company, Amoeba Culture.
“The Song” currently sits comfortably atop 6 of 8 major Korean music charts, after jumping up to the top almost immediately after release.
