‘American Dad’ Renewed For Two More Seasons | TV News

American Dad has been renewed by TBS for two 22-episode series extending the show to air all the way through until 2018. This means the show will run for its 12th and 13th series following the Smith family, which is written and stars Seth MacFarlane. This is the second most successful animated series for MacFarlane with Family Guy about to enter its 14th season.

This is the second set of renewals the show has had after moving to TBS from Fox after its ninth series. The show has succeeded at its new home with it being the top-viewed scripted comedy on Mondays at 9pm in the US for ages 18-49. The show usually rakes in an impressive 4 million viewers per episode on average.
