Benicio Del Toro Confirms Villain Role For ‘Star Wars: Episode VIII’ | Film News
In a recent interview, Benicio Del Toro confirmed rumours that he is to star in the eighth chapter of the Star Wars saga, set to be directed by Looper director Rian Johnson. However, even with his brief, vague answers, he has accidentally given away classified information.
Firstly, that the next chapter begins shooting in March (presumably in London, where The Force Awakens has been made by J.J Abrams). Then, he gave away some details about his role – apparently “(I’m) like the villain. But we’ll see”. Either way, after a brief role in Guardians of the Galaxy last summer, it seems that Del Toro is eager to get back into space.
