Although she appears as a natural presenter on ITV’s X Factor, Caroline Flack has recently revealed the truth behind her charismatic personality and that things aren’t as easy as they seem. The presenting pro has recently been at the centre of public disapproval for comments based on her weight and apparently ‘unsuitable’ clothing for her figure.
Speaking in an interview with Cosmopolitan, Caroline has explained how she copes with the undeserved comments she receives about her appearance. She stated that: “The X Factor has made me realise how strong I am. The show elicits strong opinions, and often they aren’t nice. But you can’t let it get to you. People don’t have to like you”.
Continuing, she revealed how women face greater criticism from the public eye and how she has a private message support group with Laura Whitmore, Dawn O’Porter, Gemma Cairney and Gizzi Erskine: “It’s a lot harder to be a woman on TV. We have to face more criticism. I have a private message group with Dawn O’Porter, Gemma Cairney, Laura Whitmore and Gizzi Erskine, and we support each other”. You go girl! It's very easy to take a shot at someone online. The vile comments about my weight and just all round look tonight are quite shocking ….
