Chloe Grace Moretz Lands Lead Role In ‘Brain On Fire’ Biopic | Film News

The recently very busy actress Chloe Grace Moretz has landed herself another complex and exciting role in the form of a movie adaptation of Susannah Cahalan’s 2012 memoirs, Brain on Fire: My Month of Madness. The Hollywood Reporter has reported that 18-year-old Moretz will star in the film about a young woman’s struggle with a mystery illness, which was later diagnosed to be autoimmune disease, resulting in her dwindling mental health. Cahalan lost a month from her memory, and after waking up in hospital was told of her many delusions and violent episodes.

Gerard Barrett is set to direct, with Charlize Theron, who worked with Moretz recently on Dark Places which is set to be released this summer, set to be producing the biopic. You can also catch Moretz in The 5th Wave in January 2016, and November Criminals with The Fault in our Stars star Ansel Elgort late 2016.
