When The September Issue was released in 2009, fashion and Vogue US lovers in particular felt a little closer to that universe that sometimes feels so far. Looking through the windows to see the creation of one of the most important issues of the year with Sienna Miller on the cover and seeing Anna Wintour making decisions was something extraordinary.
What the audience wasn’t expecting was the importance of Grace Coddington, creative director of the magazine until 2016, in the whole creation process of the magazine. Sally Singer said that she was the best stylist alive and that no one could make photographers take more beautiful, interesting and romantic pictures. The world was impressed by the only person that seemed daring to face Wintour.
Now, Grace will have her own talk show to be launched in September. Face to Grace will have six episodes in which she’ll interview socialites and celebrities. The first one will be Nicolas Chesquière.
This year’s Vogue US September issue will be highly anticipated, but that month will have another very important day to be marked on the calendar.
