‘Happy Valley’ Creator Sally Wainwright To Write And Direct The Brontë Sisters Biopic | TV News
BAFTA winning writer of successful BBC dramas, Happy Valley and Last Tango in Halifax Sally Wainwright is set to write and direct a TV film about The Brontë Sisters. The one-off 2-hour project shall be titled To Walk Invisible: The Brontë Sisters. It will focus on the relationships each of the sisters had with their father as well as their relationship with their brother Branwell who suffered from alcoholism and drug addiction when he was approaching the end of his life. The casting of the film has not yet been announced but the story of Charlotte, Emily and Anne will appear on our screens sometime in 2016.
