Liam Neeson Plans To Stop Making Action Movies In Two Years | Film News

Since his starring role in mega-hit action thriller Taken back in 2008, Liam Neeson has become the King of action movies, starring in the likes of Unknown, The Grey, Non-Stop and now new movie, alongside Joel Kinnaman; Run All Night. While his impressive career also includes brilliant dramatic roles, comedic performances and romance flicks; it’s safe to say he’s most commonly known for these high-action, super-suspense thrillers. Alas, it appears his reign of action King can’t last forever as Neeson plans to leave the genre in two years time.

In an interview as reported by The Guardian, Neeson seems pretty confident about just how long he’ll be toting firearms and running after bad guys; “Maybe two more years. If God spares me and I’m healthy. But after that, I’ll stop [the action] I think”. Seems pretty fair enough, right? We can next expect to see Neeson in the likes of Ted 2, A Monster Calls and Martin Scorsese’s Silence. While everybody loves a good old Neeson action flick, it will be interesting to see what choices he makes once those days are over. In the mean time, check out the Run All Night trailer, which is in cinemas now!
