Miles Teller To Star In Nicolas Winding Refn’s Amazon Series | TV News
Having secured director, Barry Jenkins, for a limited series just yesterday, Amazon continues to bring in some A-list talent. Miles Teller will star in Nicolas Winding Refn‘s series, Too Old To Die Young.
As mentioned prior, Refn’s series will delve into the seedy underbelly of Los Angeles and explore existential journeys from killers to samurais. Teller will reportedly play a police officer named Martin who, alongside the man who shot his partner, gets entangled in the world of assassins.
Refn will direct all ten episodes of the series, and Teller added in a statement: “I’m a huge fan of Nic’s work so the opportunity to work with him, and for a company like Amazon, with this type of material is very exciting”.
This is an added coup for Amazon, who alongside Refn’s series also have high-profile TV dramas in the pipeline from David O. Russell (with Robert De Niro and Julianne Moore), Matthew Weiner‘s Mad Men follow up, The Romanoffs, and Yorgos Lanthimos‘ series based on the Iran-Contra dealings, starring Colin Farrell.
The battle for streaming superiority is reaching new heights.
