Netflix Bags War Thriller ‘Jadotville’ Starring Jamie Dornan | TV News

A new series is coming to Netflix, starring 50 Shades of Grey leading man Jamie Dornan. War thriller Jadotville will make its way to the VOD service next year as production begins this April. Netflix scooped up the drama in Berlin last week, adding it to its already impressive list of available television content.

Starring Dornan, the show will focus on the 1961 siege of a 150-strong Irish UN battalion under Commander Patrick Quinlan by 3,000 Congolese troops led by French and Belgian mercenaries working for mining companies. After his hideous character in 50 Shades of Grey, I’m looking forward to seeing Dornan doing what he does best – thrillers which will hopefully mirror his performance in The Fall, co-staring Gillian Anderson. As for his new project, with a script from Kevin Brodbin, Richie Smith is helming the project, which also stars Guillaume Canet.
