Stephen King’s ‘IT’ Adaptation Searching For New Director | Film News

So, as you may know from the news this week, Cary Fukunaga reportedly left the film adaptation of IT as it was suggested that he and the company came to disagreements about budgets and locations. With Warner Bros. still pending the film, Bloody Disgusting reported that the Stephen King adaptation was being pushed into production, as they are on the prowl for a new director to helm the 2-part horror franchise. It certainly would have been a tantalizing thought that Fukunaga was making something passionate and with a heart for the fans of the TV series. So Warner Bros. have some strenuous options to filter through, could it possibly be Rob Reiner as he relishes a King adaptation, or could it be someone more contemporary in the thought of David Fincher?
