There have been whispers about a new Kojak film for years but it is definitely happening now, with Universal Pictures picking up the rights to the film. Vin Diesel looks set to play detective Kojak in an updated film version of the hit ’70s TV show. Kojak was originally played by Telly Salavas, who looks a bit like an older Vin Diesel, so this could be the perfect project for Diesel to get his teeth stuck into after the Fast and Furious franchise. Diesel is also serving as producer of the film so it should be worth a good watch, if Kojak turns out to be anything like the Fast and Furious films. The film is still in the very early stages, so there is no release date yet.
