17-Year Old Canadian Talent June6xteen Unveils New Single ‘Polaroid’

17-year-old Canadian singer June6xteen recently shared her self-produced single, “Polaroid“.

This pop track, infused with a summery vibe, weaves the narrative of an idyllic midsummer romance. It encapsulates the fleeting beauty of a brief summer love story, which despite its transience, is incredibly romantic and memorable.

“Polaroid” is a journey into nostalgia, ingeniously incorporating 70-80s elements into a contemporary upbeat rhythm and catchy melodies. The lyrics articulate the importance of cherishing the present and each passing moment before they evaporate into the ether.

The song prompts listeners to use their metaphorical Polaroids to freeze those ephemeral moments in time. June6xteen collaborated with her trusted vocal production team, The Floating Heads, composed of Mike Valletta, Mathieu Gillis, and the Grammy-nominated KCdaproducer, known for his work on Justin Bieber’s latest album.

June6xteen launched her professional solo career in April 2022 with her first song, “Ruined My Life.” Following its release, June6xteen was recognized as iHeart Radio’s Future Star in Canada for May.

The French version of “Ruined My Life” ascended to the top 20 on the BDS Top 100 Franco charts in Quebec. Moreover, she attained the 43rd spot on the highly competitive Canadian Billboard’s AC Adult Contemporary chart.

This promising young singer, with a burgeoning career and a bustling schedule, is currently featured on the television programme “Honey Jam.” This opportunity led her to perform at Toronto’s legendary theatre, The El Mocambo.

She was also selected by Warner Chappell Music Canada to participate in a songwriting camp in Toronto. June6xteen released her latest project, an EP, in July 2023.
