50 Cent And Kenya Barris Developing ‘The 50th Law’ TV Adaptation For Netflix | TV News

American rapper and businessman 50 Cent announced on his Instagram account that he and Black-ish producer Kenya Barris are in the works of developing a new Netflix series titled The 50th Law.

The series would be based on the bestselling book The 50th Law, written by the rapper alongside Robert Green. Robert Green is also the bestselling author of The 48 Laws of Power, which sold over two million copies worldwide.

The TV show is based on a semi-autobiographical story taken from the book which will showcase even more of the rapper’s early life and debut career, his life in The Queens, in New-York, his drug dealer past, becoming a musician, and much more on the rapper’s personal life.

The rapper also shared thoughts on some of historical anecdotes in the book like citing Abraham Lincoln, Socrates or even Napoleon, so it could be interesting to see if they are going to talk about those characters or not.

Barris will be executive producer and will also co-write the script and produce alongside Hale Rothstein, who he collaborated with on another Netflix series blackAF. It was initially Rothstein who brought the project to her long-time collaborator Barris.

Lionsgate TV should be producing this series through 50 Cent’s overall deal at Starz. For now we do not have information about the cast or even the release date but we can’t wait to see how this project will turn out!
