Criminal Minds has been confirmed to return for its 12th season, with TV Line reporting that the US Television network ordering 22 more episodes of the show. However, the network has made no decision on Gary Sinise’s spin off series Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders.
The original Criminal Minds has remained a firm ratings throughout the 11th season, maintaining a healthy 9 million viewers with each show. Amongst the high points of the last season was the return of fan favourite characters, like Paget Brewster as FBI Operative Emily Prentiss. The long running show has been a hit for CBS, the show first airing back in September of 2005.
