Beck was keeping us entertained last night on Instagram with a handful of reposts teasing his new track “Wow”, which arrives at noon Eastern (5pm UK) today.
The announcement arrives a week after Flume dropped his long-awaited sophmore album, Skin, where Beck can be heard lending his talents to closing song “Tiny Cities”.
From the snippets he’s already given us, it definitely seems like the American multi-instrumentalist has been influenced by the Sydney artist during their time spent in the studio together, as we hear the mellow sound of an electro-pan flute undercut with a trap-tinged hip-hop beat.
The song appears reflective of an artist whose constant commitment to transcending genre boundaries has allowed him to remain agile within the ever-evolving industry, and you can listen to them here.
