Prophets Of Rage, the super-group comprised of Tom Morello, Brad Wilk and Tim Commerford of Rage Against The Machine, Chuck D and DJ Lord of Public Enemy and Cyprus Hill’s B-Real have released a live video from their second show ever, in which they cover RATM’s “Killing In The Name”.
Throughout the performance, the antiestablishmentarianism message of the song is amplified by the banner that adorns the back of the stage, reading “Make America Rage Again“.
In a recent interview with Billboard.com, Morello explained the goal of the band is “to be as devastating as possible… In all these interviews, we talk a lot about the politics, but the cornerstone is that the music has to be devastating“. If this live video is any indication, the collective will find no difficulty in combing their art with criticism of the current political climate.
