London rock and indie five-piece band, The Maccabees, have officially split up after 14 years together, giving a public statement online attributing reaching their creative peak and ending on a high point as significant factors in the split.
They also stated that they still plan on creating music individually in some way, and that they plan on performing a farewell tour. The band recently had their first number one album with Marks To Prove It, as well as headlining Latitude festival.
