Here comes the third single from Justin Timberlake‘s upcoming Man of the Woods; with another video coming from another different director. It’s a duo with Chris Stapleton with them both trying to “Say Something” during the entire song and finally deciding that it’s the best “to say nothing at all“.
It’s the kind of song that was initially expected when JT announced his nature and roots inspired album, while the first two were surprisingly modern, especially the videos: the dancing robot in “Filthy” and a surreal post-apocalyptic world in “Supplies“.
Produced by Timbaland and Danja, “Say Something” is full of guitars and soulful vocals, with the majestic climax featuring a full choir. The one continuous shot video, directed by Arturo Perez Jr. helps to enhance the power of the song, showing how huge a team of musicians were actually working on it.
