With all the current negativity surrounding her father and the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, some positive news relating a father-like relationship has come to light. The Duchess was able to have a beautiful moment with her on-screen father in the hit USA Network show Suits.
Her character Rachel Zane finally took upon her vows to marry Mike Ross at the end of Season 7, but before filming, Wendell Pierce (Robert Zane) shared a few sweet words with the soon to be Princess.
Pierce shares with The Telegraph:
“I was sitting with Meghan in her wedding dress, as we waited for a set-up. We were alone. I said to her, ‘Your life is going to change. It’s going to be amazing but I want you to know that I’m your friend, and no matter where you are or what’s going on—if the fishbowl that you’re in ever starts getting to you—you can call me.”
Although not her real life dad, it does not take away from the loving moment shared between them before shooting her final scenes.
