Following her recent, critically-acclaimed release “Blind Spot“, produced by Greatness Jones, half-Danish, half-Senegalese singer/songwriter Kinck returns with her first new material of the year in “Hunger Pains“.
“Hunger Pains” continues the thread of raw honesty, captivating vocal lilt and a bed of trap-edged pop instrumental that will continue the intrigue around the rising artist. The personal nature of the lyrics combined with the clear style and vocal finesse Kinck shows is definitely the springboard for greater heights as her first release of the year.
Speaking on the track, Kinck states:
“I wrote ‘Hunger Pains’ right before New Years when I was contemplating how I wanted 2019 to be different from last year. I’m not a big believer in New Year’s resolutions, so I see this track more as an affirmation – if I sing it enough I’ll manifest things to change. I’m happy with what I accomplished last year but there was a heaviness there that made things seem harder than they should – for me anyways.”
Travelling between Copenhagen, Los Angeles, London and Amsterdam working on her forthcoming debut EP, Kinck is gifted enough to have earned studio time with some of the hottest producers in the game right now. With her initial body of work set to drop shortly, she again underlines her credentials as breakout name for 2019.
