Indie pop-rock band The Howl & The Hum released their latest single “Until I Found A Rose” on February 28 as part of their upcoming first album Human Contact, which will be released on May 29 via AWAL Records. This album will also be accompanied by a UK tour in May.
Their album Human Contact speaks of a modern form of solitude, it is both a break-up and a love letter to memory, reminiscences and the past. The group is inspired by very different artists, such as hip-hop queen Lizzo, but also modern folk artists Phoebe Bridgers and Lucy Dacus and classical icon Leonard Cohen.
The group received a lot of radio support. Annie Mac and Huw Stephens of BBC Radio 1 supported them, as well as Steve Lamacq and Tom Robinson of BBC 6 Music.
As far as the press is concerned, they were supported by The Line Of Best Fit, DIY, Wonderland, Music Week, Dork, Clash and others.
The band made up of singer Sam Griffiths, bassist Bradley Blackwell, drummer Jack Williams and guitarist Conor Hirons did their biggest tour at the end of 2019.
The last show of this tour was a sold-out concert at La Scala in London. They also played at SXSW, The Great Escape and Eurosonic.
