Noel Gallagher is celebrating the first decade of his band High Flying Birds with a new greatest hits album titled Back The Way We Came: Vol 1 (2011-2021), which will be released via Sour Mash Records and includes two new tracks. The first of which is titled “We’re On Our Way Now”, and is also available for streaming right now.
Gallagher expressed his happiness saying, “10 years of Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds?? Blimey! … Just think of all the things I COULD have done in that time!! The title just came to me one afternoon, at the kitchen table, it’s a saying isn’t it: back the way we came”. I personally believe it is a great title, to always remember where you came from, in order to always be grateful.
The compilation record is already available to pre-order and comes in 2CD, Deluxe 3CD and Double Heavyweight LP formats, including a special edition, which is being sold for Record Store Day on June 12. One decade is indeed a beautiful mark that not many bands reach, so congratulations to them for sticking together through the love of music.
