Boston-based trio Three Second Chances is proving that it’s never too late to follow your dreams. Ben Consoli, Joey Nicotera, and Jacyn Tremblay spent the early 2000s pursuing their musical ambitions, but as life took over, their passion took a back seat.
Fast forward 20 years, and the group is back with a new pop single called “Let Me Down.” The trio, now in their 40s, is embracing adulthood by reclaiming their dreams and proving that age is just a number when it comes to chasing your passion.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Three Second Chances found solace in writing and rediscovered their love of music. They released their first debut single, “When the Tree Goes Up,” last Christmas, which was a glittery success. Their second single, “Let Me Down,” is an ode to breakups and the ultimate break-stuff-break-up song. The group’s Yacht Pop™ sound, obsessed with dinner parties and reasonable bedtimes, is capturing hearts and inspiring middle-aged audiences.
“We want to inspire everyone, but especially the 40-somethings out there, to never stop pursuing your passion,” says vocalist Jacyn Tremblay. “Let Me Down” is available on all streaming platforms and ThreeSecondChances.com.
Three Second Chances is currently recording new music set to release in early 2023. The trio’s origin story began during one of Ben’s annual Valentine’s Day dinner parties, where the group decided to cook up a storm with a Thai theme. It sparked their creativity, and out of sugar, spice, and everything nice, Three Second Chances was born.
Their music video for “Let Me Down” may have involved a teddy bear, but good art requires sacrifice. And Mr. Fluffles was totally fine with it – it was actually his idea.
So, is starting a music career after 40 crazy? Not with a hit like “Let Me Down.” Three Second Chances is proving that it’s never too late to follow your dreams and create ear candy for all to enjoy.
