Rising British pop star EVALINA has released “I Threw A Party (Excuses)“, the second single from her highly anticipated debut EP EVIDENTLY.
EVALINA builds on the buzz she’s generated with her recent singles on her captivating new song, demonstrating why she was named Songwriter Spotlight’s One To Watch In 2023. She recently performed her breakthrough set at London’s Camden Assembly supporting Louis III and is gearing up for her festival debut at The Great Escape in May.
With the help of co-creators MaJiKer & Jo Pereira, EVALINA skillfully crafts another masterpiece in songwriting, featuring ingenious music and engaging, thought-provoking lyrics.
Regarding the concept of the song, EVALINA says, “Excuses is about dropping hints to somebody you like and hoping they pick up on them. It’s funny because none of these ‘hints’ would be obvious to the person who you want to notice them, as they’re not a mind reader. Some of these excuses are pretty unconventional, somewhat juvenile, and a tiny bit psycho, so I’ll leave the listener to interpret which excuses are fact and which are fiction“.
Rising pop singer EVALINA, a graduate of the BRIT school in South London, has seen a meteoric rise to fame since being spotted by the legendary production team Laconic. They nurtured her exceptional talents throughout her adolescence and helped her hone her impressive songwriting abilities.
In July 2022, EVALINA’s first single, “Side Effects“, was released to favorable reviews. The song was recently honored by Songwriter Spotlight as 2022’s Outstanding Debut Single.
Though her career is just beginning, EVALINA has already collaborated with some of the biggest names in the industry, recorded chart-topping music worldwide, embarked on tours throughout Europe, and amassed close to 20 million streams.
We can’t wait to listen to her new EP. Listen to the single below:
