Over 3.3 million people in the US watched the series finale of Mad Men last Sunday, making it the third most watched episode of the series after the premieres of seasons five and six. The series concluded on what the star Jon Hamm described as an “ambiguous note“. The ending left critics somewhat divided as to the fate of lead character Don Draper, but ultimately many concluded that it was an appropriate finish to a series which constantly defied audience expectations.
