Skadoosh! The weight is almost over for Dreamworks upcoming sequel Kung Fu Panda 3 and we have been blessed with a third official trailer, full of kung fu moves and delicious dumplings. Set for release in early 2016, the movie follows tubby panda Po’s (Jack Black) journey as he meets his long-lost father Li Shan (Bryan Cranston); who encourages his Dragon Warrior son to join him at a secret panda sanctuary, where he inevitably doesn’t fit in. However, trouble is afoot when the evil ancient spirit Kai (J. K. Simmons) begins terrorising China and stealing the powers of defeated kung fu masters. In a matter of emergency, Po must turn a village of clumsy, food-loving pandas into a band of kung fu warriors.
The movie will feature the return of Master Shifu, voiced by the iconic Dustin Hoffman who is set to guide Po throughout his journey. It will also bring back Angelina Jolie (Tigress), Jackie Chan (Monkey), Seth Rogen (Mantis), Lucy Liu (Viper), and David Cross (Crane) as the Furious Five. Mr. Ping – Po’s adoptive goose father, voiced by James Hong is also rejoining the team, where it seems his character will struggle with the idea of Po’s biological rather returning. A new member lending her voice includes Kate Hudson as Mei Mei, an overenthusiastic female panda that was promised marriage to Po as a child. Watch the trailer below and catch Kung Fu Panda 3 on 11 March 2016.
