Nearly two whole years ago, reports arose over the plans to direct a film based on the famous Disneyland ride, It’s A Small World, with National Treasure director Jon Turteltaub at its helm. Now, according to Variety, the film has finally got its writers.
Tim Rasmussen and Vince Di Meglio, who have credits including Marmaduke and Meet the Fockers, have been chosen by Disney to pen the script. The Lego Movie’s Dan Lin is also set to help produce the film along with Turteltaub. The famous Disney attraction was created for the 1964 New York World’s fair, in support of the United Nations Children Fund. Gaining popularity, the ride then expanded to Disney Parks around the world.
