Poor Ripper Street, dropped by the BBC and now by Amazon Prime.
The Victorian Detective drama, which was saved by the streaming site following the BBC’s cancellation of the show due to poor ratings is to come to an end after five series – not a bad run if I don’t say so myself.
Filming of the fifth series, which stars Matthew Macfadyen, MyAnna Buring, Jerome Flynn, and Adam Rothenberg has begun in Dublin with the show being exclusively released on the streaming service later this year.
In May of last year, Amazon commissioned a fourth and fifth series of the show. With no release as of yet, its one last hurrah for the show as the last season plays out a decent show.
