A New Trailer Of ‘The Turning’ Is Out Now | Film Trailer

A new trailer of the horror movie The Turning has been recently dropped on Youtube. The movie is directed by Floria Sigismondi, and is the latest adaptation of the 1898 Henry James novel titled The Turn of the Screw.

Despite the numerous past film versions of the book, the director intended to create an original and modernized adaptation: “I studied what worked in that film, and the atmosphere it created, and how the house became a character, and what we saw and didn’t see,” she said about her adaptation.

She added: “I also loved how that film made it about the nanny and not just about the things that were happening in the house. So, I really drew upon those things, and modernized it, and made it my own”.

The movie stars Stranger Things star Finn Wolfhard, who also had a role in the new It movie. The movie will also star another Netflix actor, Mackenzie Davis, who appeared in an episode of Black Mirror.

The trailer presents the setting of the story, which is a remote and spooky mansion. We follow the story of a nanny (Mackenzie Davis), who has to look after two creepy children (Wolfhard and Brooklynn Prince). The old house slowly starts to reveal its secrets and appears to be haunted by ghosts.

The trailer is accompanied by a good soundtrack, which increase the tension and suspense. The protagonist slowly realizes what’s happening around her, but her destiny will be clearly revealed only in the movie.

The trailer is well made as a whole, and we look forward to watching the new movie as soon as it comes out in theaters on January 24, 2020. Watch the trailer below:
