Aaron Taylor-Johnson And Michael Shannon On Board For ‘Nocturnal Animals’ | Film News

Adding to an already strong cast of Jake Gyllenhaal and Amy Adams, comes Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Michael Shannon for Tom Ford’s upcoming thriller Nocturnal Animals.

Nocturnal Animals is based on a novel by Austin Wright titled Tony and Susan in which half is narrated by Tony, where his family holiday turns violent, and half by Susan, where she receives a book manuscript and a note asking for her opinion on it, sent by her ex-husband, who she left 20 years before. Gyllenhaal and Adams will play Tony and Susan respectively.

Taylor-Johnson is believed to have been added to the mix by playing a man threatening Tony’s family, whereas Michael Shannon is to play the detective who investigates the happenings. Nocturnal Animals has no official release date, but Focus Features are backing the project and Ford stated that he hopes for a 2016 release.
