Best known for the TV series Date My Dad with Barry Watson & Raquel Welch, Filipino-Canadian actress Zenia Marshall has recently emerged as an alternative-pop singer and songwriter with the single “Heaven And Hell”, which is about not making any limits on love and how it can bring the best and worst in people.
The tune is a powerful ballad driven by guitars and pop lyrics that give a strong Lana Del Rey vibe, while the music video is a blend of dark and dramatic cinematic scenes that bring the track to life. The artist expresses her emotions really well, and makes you feel every word of the song, probably because of her actress background.
Zenia wrote this song four years ago, she looked into herself and her personal relationship in order to capture the real emotions and the intense ups and downs she has experienced, and how the ones we most love can bring so much joy and so much pain at the same time.
She’s spent a whole year co-producing with her producer to find the right blend of instrumentals and visuals for the clip, she went through a lot of independent self-recording and mostly working from home due to the pandemic.
